Ignite Education Solutions invites you to apply to be a substitute teacher.

Positions are available in schools throughout Cambria, Somerset, and Bedford counties.

Additional Requirements

After being interviewed, additional requirements must be met. If offered a position as a substitute teacher, you will be contacted by one of our onboarding specialists to assist you in submitting the following:

  • A valid PA Teaching Certification
  • PA Criminal Records check (Act 34) less than one year old. ($22 processing fee required)
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) that is clean and less than one year old. ($10 credit card charge required)
  • Completed Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form (Act 168)
  • FBI Criminal History Record that is clean and less than one year old.
  • Proof of TB test and physical less than one year old (Drug testing is required for any teacher interested in subbing at Somerset Area School District)
  • Mandated Reporter Certificates

A paid training is also required prior to being assigned work.
